Christmas and new year’s eve in Australia !

2017 was full of adventures. To finish in style, we spent Christmas by the sea. What a pleasure to swim on december  24th and go hiking in the forest and end up on the beach with a kite on Christmas day!

It should be noted that Santa Claus really knows everything since he went to Australia and Sacha was surprised to discover his gifts very traditionally: under a Christmas tree 🙂

We celebrated Natacha’s birthday with a few presents and a good cake in a beautiful AirB & B with a swimming pool. We have space, comfort and modernity, it was great!

On the last day of the year, we were very motivated to hike in search of wild Koalas. We did not have the chance to see it but we discovered a beautiful rainforest with eucalyptus and tropical trees (and mosquitoes when the rain stopped!). To our surprise, the hike ended on a beautiful beach …. the time was not bathing but the landscape was beautiful as usual could we say in Australia!

New year’s Eve is traditionally a time of sharing with friends or family. We had the chance to invite another french family (Caroline, Marc, Lucas, Nino and Suzie) who travel around the world to share the dinner and the superb AirB & B for this last day of the year. Sacha has played with children who share his passion for the legos. The “fight” in the pool was epic. The dinner was delicious and especially the cakes (thank you Natacha to be as good cook). The count of midnight was approximate in order to enjoy as soon as possible a confetti battle worthy of the best holidays! Too bad that this family travels the other way because we would have liked to spend a little more time with them. you can follow them on instagram where they post great pictures of legos! http://www.malakfamily.com and malakfamilytrip on Instagram

We had a great end of the year, spending holidays in the sun, it’s quite nice! Sacha was able to enjoy swimming, walks, full American breakfasts and his Santa Claus gift activity: a tree climbing!
