After a very urban stay in Bangkok, we wanted to get some fresh air!
We also did not want to spend days traveling to the beaches of southern Thailand, so we left for Hua Hin, about 4 hours by train from Bangkok. It was a stay too short as we really liked it there!! Natacha had found us a great apartment, with a room for moms and a sofa for Sacha. A kitchen with microwave which we used a lot (although the frozen spaghetti of Thailand are not very good …). The apartment was super clean, new equipments and in addition we had access to a large pool + facilities in the hotel across the way (why, we did not really know but we took advantage of it!!): pool with children’s area, games room (with small soldiers and military vehicles galore (the paradise for Sacha), the air-conditioned gym !!! As for the beach at 400m, it was not super clean but it’s still nice to have lunch with the view, take pictures at 7am or pay a massage at 8 euros … The best beach was well worth taking a “truck” taxi … after a nice walk to the rock of the monkeys! Visit of Buddhist temple and a new experience awaited us: the truck taxi. Cheap but scary! As we were on the outskirt of the city, we had to take it to the night market and walk around. We had a good time but Laos was waiting for us!
